To use 3G services on your Mobile, first  you Need a 3G Enabled Handset.

Here is  the procedures to activate 3G services for major operators in India

1.TATA DOCOMO 3G

SEND A MESSAGE, SMS ACT3G to 53333 OR 3GLIFE TO 53333, WAIT FOR CONFERMATION MESSAGE AND THEN CHOOSE UMTS MODE FOR 3G SERVICES.

4.IDEA 3G
All India Idea Mobile Customer care Numbers 2010

SEND A MESSAGE, SMS ACT3G to 12345 OR 3G TO 54777, WAIT FOR CONFERMATION MESSAGE AND THEN CHOOSE UMTS MODE FOR 3G SERVICES.

SEND A MESSAGE, SMS START 3G to 121, WAIT FOR CONFERMATION MESSAGE AND THEN CHOOSE UMTS MODE FOR 3G SERVICES.

    I am getting Reliance 3g network in manual network selection procedure but when I call to 18001003333
    they says 3G is not yet been launched in MH ...
    NOW HOW CAN I ACTIVATE 3G ON MY RELIANCE GSM MAHARASHTRA..

    dude do not we have sms facility in reliance like the other network to activate 3G . My handset is nokia N8.0 . What should I do , calling at the given number is really not helpful . Give some insight .
