What's more, Yahoo Messenger 11 also enables you to chat with your friends on Facebook Chat via the dedicated instant messaging client. This feature should come in handy for those wanting to connect to friends on both networks. Facebook, of course, does not have an official desktop client for Chat.
You can even do a SMS chat from your mobile phone if you are offline on your desktop messenger. You can send and receive messages from your Facebook friends in real-time via SMS. Here’s how you can set it up on your mobile device.
This is all free, you will only incur charges if you reply to any of received SMS from your mobile phone.Here’s how you can set it up on your mobile device.
It requires latest YAHOO! MESSENGER 11.


  • When prompted, save the .exe file to your desktop. Then double click the Yahoo! Messenger 11 file on your desktop to begin installation.
    After installing YAHOO! MESSENGER 11, fallow the below steps

  • Once you install Yahoo Messenger 11, you can see the option to add Facebook chat when you log in.

  • You can also connect to Facebook chat from the Messenger menu by selecting “Sign in to Facebook Chat”.

  • Once you have authenticated Yahoo to use Facebook, you can see all the contacts online in your Yahoo Messenger. You can right click on any contact and then sent an instant message.

  • When you are going to logoff, you can see Sign to 91xxxxxxxxxx(your mobile no.), and Sign-out. From the two options, choose Sign to 91xxxxxxxxxx.

    Now when you log out of your desktop Messenger, you will be automatically logged into your mobile device which you have set up. Any messages sent by your Facebook friends will be forwarded to your mobile device and will be available in your phone’s SMS inbox. Reply to the SMS message, and your message will be sent back to your Facebook friends.

      but my facebook account is based on gmail then how can i get fb inbox messages to cell

      Yahoo doesn't support Indian mobile subscribers to receive offline sms!!!!
